Guidelines to Enjoying the Property
Hickory Hills is an unusual property and best appreciated as a quiet escape from the daily stresses of life. The rolling, wooded terrain is alive with wildlife and natural beauty abounds. Upon entering the front entry… take a deep breath, slow down and relax. Going faster than 10 mph will surely short change your viewing of deer, wild turkey, or interesting farm animals. A friendly staff will greet you at the front office and make sure you are escorted to your camp site or Cabin. Our main concern is for the quiet enjoyment of the property by every guest. Please be courteous of your neighbor and appreciate the 11pm – 8 am quiet hour. We also encourage a respect of the natural beauty of the land itself. Trees, rocks, animals and the land improvements are best left as they are found. ” Leave only your footprints and take only your memories “. Most of the property is best viewed by hiking. Trail maps are available at the office. We encourage minimal driving, while staying on the graveled areas only. Children are cherished and we encourage watching out for their safety and security. We love animals of all types, but request that dogs be kept on a leash, picked up after and be mindful of excessive barking. Hickory Hills Campground is home to several farm animals that are available for visiting during the day. Please do NOT enter the barn, but you may visit the turn out paddock, next to the barn. Feeding times are available and posted daily. We do have natural well water and a wetland sewer system. Please help us conserve our natural resources and be mindful of electric and water use.
Thank you!
*Please check with the office if you want a list of every possible rule . But basically it comes down to be respectful and be safe.
