  • Gold Panning at Hickory Hills Campground

Yes, there is gold in Indiana! Yes, there is gold at Hickory Hills Campground.  With the price of gold  on the rise and  bringing upwards of $900.00 per ounce, maybe it is time to revisit those spots in the U.S. where gold has been known to exist. Over 18,000 years ago, glaciers covered most of the central United States. When they receded, they left behind nuggets and flakes of gold brought down from the glaciers from Canada.
